In fact, some authorities consider this pests to be the most widespread defoliator of deciduous shade trees in the eastern part of the United States. It prefers Cherry, Apple, Peach, Plum, Hawthorn, Crab-Apple, and Cottoneaster, but will also feed lightly on other deciduous trees and shrubs. |
